Tectonic Translation

Description:
Construct a three-dimensional physical model of the drawings from the spatial profile project. The model and drawings do not need to mirror each other rather change slightly to further define the space.
Strategy:
By taking the language of the drawings, I applied them to the three-dimensional space. This will give the main spatial components that make up St. Johns but on an abstract level where one could not automatically tell I had St. Johns. With deeper thinking one can further understand those abstract spatial components.
When walking into St.John's Cathedral, there seemed to be this power that came from the altar. Suspended over the altar is a corona or crown which emphasised this invisible power. Through modeling, this power I felt is represented by the square hydrocal prism. From there, everything is then suspended off the hydrocal.
